The FS 103 Speaker Stand is a minimalist interpretation of the visually appealing FS series of loudspeaker stands. Three 1" satellite support columns and single 3" (76mm) ERW BS EN 10305-3 central column offer solid four point isolation and a high degree of rigidity. The light-weight frame elements have the minimal influence on speakers performance while the 3" central column can be easily mass loaded with Custom Design specially selected Inert Filler. The sonic effect is to get a more open and dynamic sound while maintaining the ability to tune bass performance governed by the ammount of filler used.
The 4mm thick top and bottom plates are Laser precision cut and hand finished. The top plate is fabricated from inert Acoustic Steel™, while the bottom plate is attractively sculptured into a tri-star shape. High quality zinc plated M8 fixing bolts are used to ensure these parts fit together firmly to provide a stand with total integrity and a high degree of rigidity. Reflecting the attention to detail and standards of quality, the spikes can be easily adjusted from the top with the Allen Key wrench provided.
The satellite support columns are available in Black as standard, with Chrome or Brushed Chrome finishes as optional extras.
Some heavier loudspeaker stands overly dampen the speaker cabinets resulting in a dull sound and this is difficult to predict. The FS 103 Speaker Stand has the advantage of being more neutral to start with but with added benefit to control the bass response leading to more precise bass timing and better stereo imaging. These sophisticated stands have a tidy foot-print and provide the foundation required for a more exciting and dynamic sound.
