Speaker stands need to provide a completely rigid, resonance absorbing and vibration isolating support platform to allow the speaker to achieve maximum performance. These requirements are satisfied by not only the number and thickness of columns, but also by the number of fixings, the thickness of other materials incorporated.
Custom Design’s HOS 505 speaker stand is designed as an open frame speaker stand to have minimal effect on the performance of your Harbeth speakers. The unique 5 column design provides a rigid isolating platform for those who desire a more exciting and dynamic performance from their speakers.
The HOS 505 feature a 5 column center + satellite design. All of the columns are manufactured from ERW BS EN 10305-3 steel and each stand incorporates Custom Design’s Acoustic Steel, and premium fixings. The design efforts all focused on creating a speaker support stand that delivers rigidity and doesn’t “color” the sound of your speakers. Performance improvements to the dynamic range of your Harbeth speakers will be more open and free compared to conventional, central, mass loaded designs. More precise stereo imaging and timing bring more excitement to your listening.
The satellite support columns are available in black or white as standard, with polished chrome and brushed chrome finishes available as optional extras. The standard 4mm acoustic steel top plates measures 6.3” x 7.5” (160 mm x 190 mm) and are laser precision cut and hand finished. The base plates are 4mm oiled and pickled steel for a superior quality finish measure 8.4" x 9.5" (214mm x 240mm). M8 black zinc-plated base isolation spikes and covers supplied as standard with easy Allen key adjustable access.
